How to clean a house before selling.
The first thing you need to do when cleaning your house before selling is to declutter. This means getting rid of any unnecessary items that are taking up space and making your home look cluttered. Once you have decluttered, you can then start the process of deep cleaning. This involves cleaning all surfaces, inside and out, from top to bottom.
You should also make sure to clean any hard-to-reach areas, such as under furniture and in corners.
When it comes to deep cleaning, there are a few key areas that you need to focus on. These include the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms. In the kitchen, make sure to scrub all surfaces clean, including the stovetop, countertops, sink and backsplash.
Don’t forget to clean appliances like the fridge and oven too. In the bathroom, focus on scrubbing the toilet bowl, shower/bathtub and sinks. Be sure to disinfect these areas as well!
In the living room and bedrooms, dust all surfaces – from ceiling fans to tabletops – vacuum carpets and mop hardwood floors.
Make sure closets are neat and tidy too. If possible, try to put away any excess belongings so that rooms appear more spacious. Lastly, don’t forget about the exterior of your home!
Pressure wash sidewalks and driveways; wash windows; trim bushes/trees; rake leaves; etc. A little bit of elbow grease goes a long way in making your home look its best!
